Prayer Ministries
Here at Liberty Church we are committed to prayer. We are a growing ministry full of passion and vision. There are many opportunities for you to participate in prayer and also areas where our vision is exceeding the number of people participating, and in order to make the vision a reality – we need your help. If you would like to volunteer for any of the ministries described below, please fill out a volunteer packet located at the welcome center and contact Maria Angelakis at MariaA@libertychurches.org.

Power Surge (Wednesday night prayer)
Please join us at 7:15pm every Wednesday night in the sanctuary. We meet to pray for our church leaders, church family, relatives, friends, each other, ministries, community, special events, etc.
Prayer Partners (formerly Altar Care)
Prayer partners are
passionate about being an extension of Jesus' ministry by praying for
people! We are eager to link our faith with those needing salvation,
healing, deliverance, restoration of broken relationships, financial
breakthroughs, encouragement or direction. The Prayer Partner members
serve during Saturday and Sunday services and various special meetings.
To be considered for the Altar Care ministry, please fill out an Altar
Care Application. Pick up an application at the Welcome Center or
download from the Resource
web page. Liberty Church membership is required for team members
beginning May 1st 2010.
Liberty Prayer Team
All prayer requests that come into Liberty Churches hand written during services, as e-mails, via the “Pray for Me” website, or phone calls are e-mailed out to the Liberty Prayer Team. There are no rules about how long or how often the requests are prayed for, and no requirements other than you have a passion to pray for others. Prayer Team members are needed, so please add your email at this link: Add me to the Prayer Team.
Special Events Prayer Teams
Teams are set up to specifically pray for events as requested. We have
prayerfully supported events such as Royal Family Kids Camp, Men's
Retreat, Women's Retreat, 12 Days of Christmas Prayer, Dreams &
Wishes, etc.
The prayer ministries listed below need your help to make them a Reality!
Pre-Service Prayer
Team members provide a prayer covering for every church service and meet 15-30 minutes before every service. The goal of this ministry is to pray for lives to be changed and our community to be reached for Christ, who is "not willing that any should perish" (2 Peter 3:9)
During Service Prayer
Team members provide a prayer covering for the pastors, and congregation during the service.
Corporate Prayer and Worship Events
Periodic events where worship and prayer blend into a time of praise, worship and spontaneous prayer.
Prayer Newsletter
Quarterly update of past and upcoming prayer events and opportunities.
ANNUAL PRAYER EVENTS
SURGE21
Is a 21 day prayer and fasting initiative that runs in the fall. The dictionary states the definition of surge is "to rise and move in waves or billows" or "to rise suddenly to an excessive or abnormal value." We believe that we can strategically focus our prayers to see breakthroughs in our lives, in our families, in our church, and in our community. In 2009, two hundred twenty-nine people faithfully participated in this prayer event. Every day for 21 days, they received a daily devotional written and sent out by the SURGE21 Team. The devotionals consisted of a key word, thought for the day, key scriptures, a focus prayer, and target ministries to pray for. Click on this link for details on SURGE21 2010 launching in September.
12 Days of Christmas Prayer
Similar to Surge21, these 12 days of prayer are focused on praying for all who will be involved in the yearly Dream Center Dreams and Wishes program.
National Day of Prayer, May 6th
Join with us every May to stand in the gap for our country and pray God’s will in the areas of our Government, Education, Media, Family, Church, Military, and Business.
